Russian-Belorus forum of composers organized by International association of young composers, performers and music experts of the RMU InternatMolOt composers Guild will take place in on January 28-29 in Minsk. The event will be held supported by the Republic of Belarus Composers Union.
Russian Musical Union and Moscow State Conservatory after P.I. Tchaikovsky implemented the project of 'New music studio' ensemble successfully, arranged to coincide with the 100 anniversary of the October Revolution, – 'Red Wheel' cycle of concerts.

A collection of articles and materials on pianoforte art history and theory 'RMU. PIANOFORTE' has been published with the RMU assistance which continues 'Volgograd. Pianoforte' series. The collection includes articles dedicated to life and creative work of great composers, and to new names and forgotten persons of the home pianism.
On December 1–3, 2017, Publicly Funded National Institution for Pre-School Education, Moscow, "Music School #66”, with the support of the Guild of Musicology and the Guild of Music Education of the Russian Musical Union (RMU), held the 5th - International Assembly of Professors of Music and Theoretical Disciplines entitled “Modernity and Creativity in the Methodology and Practice of Teaching Theoretical Disciplines in Children's Music Schools and Children's Schools of Arts”.

In St. Petersburg, on November 19-26, 2017, the First International Choir Seminar and Forum was organized by the International Association of Young Composers, Performers and Music Scholars 'InternatMolOt' of the Guild of Composers of the Russian Musical Union (RMU). The seminar was attended by composers from 10 countries.
In the framework of the XXXIX International Festival of Contemporary Music “Moscow Autumn”, which is supported by the Russian Musical Union, on November 11, 2017, a concert of songs and instrumental music was held in the crowded hall of the House of Composers with the participation of the Academic Bolshoy Concert Orchestra named after Y.V. Silantiev. InterMedia agency published an interview with Alexander Klevitsky, Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the orchestra, hosted by Tatyana Zhurbinskaya.
From November 17 to 19, the Moscow International House of Music will host one of the brightest cultural events of the capital - the 14th Moscow International Festival "Russian Stars of World Jazz", the author producer of which - People's Artist of the Russian Federation Anatoly Kroll. The festival will be held under the auspices of the Russian Commission for UNESCO, with the support of the Moscow Department of Culture, the National Endowment Support Fund and the Russian Musical Union.
From July 15 to 19, 2017 in the city of Soria (Spain), the first European Creative School of the Russian Musical Union was held.
From 6 to 11 April 2017, the V International MolOt Festival was held in Warsaw organized by the Russian Musical Union (RMU) and the Youth Department of the Russian Composers Union (MolOt) with the assistance of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Warsaw, the Frederic Chopin Music University, the Association of Young Composers of Poland and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Poland.
The Youth Department of the Union of Composers of Russia (MolOt) and the Russian Musical Union will organize the 5th International MolOt Festival, the main goal of which is to present the compositions of young composers from Russia and the countries of the former USSR to the audience.
After 26 years, Russia returned to the world's "musical family." This was made possible by the admission of the RMU as the National Music Council to the oldest non-governmental organization established by UNESCO in 1949 - the International Music Council (IMC). The RMU joined the IMC in the status of the All-Russian National Music Council. This historic decision was made on March 10, 2017 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. It should be noted that the RMU also became a member of the European Music Council - EMC.
In Moscow, with the assistance of the RMU, the First International Vocal Jazz Festival and Competition of Young Performers GNESIN-JAZZ-VOICE-2017 was held. The organizer of the festival is the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music; artistic director and producer of the project - teacher of the Instrumental Jazz Performance Department of the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music, member of the Council and chairman of the Guild of Jazz and Pop Art of the RMU, People's Artist of Russia, Anatoly Kroll.
The Youth Department of the Union of Composers of Russia (MolOt) with the support of the RMU, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Poland and the F. Chopin Musical University organized creative events in Warsaw (Poland).
The XI European Congress of the International Federation of Musicians (FIM), organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, was held in Belgrade (Serbia) from 4 to 6 November 2016. At the event, the RMU was presented by musicologist, director general of the "PianoForum" magazine, Marina Brokanova.
From November7 to 11, 2016, the VI International jazz festival competition of young performers Gnesin-Jazz will be held in Moscow with the assistance of RMU. The organizer of the festival is the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music, and tis artistic director - the famous composer, conductor and performer, People's Artist of Russia, Anatoly Kroll. The competition is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.
From September 8 to September 18, 2016, the 10th Frederic Chopin Moscow International Young Pianists Competition was held in the capital. The founders of this prestigious competition are the Moscow Government, the Department of Culture of Moscow and the Frederic Chopin Society in Moscow with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Russia, the Polish Cultural Center in Moscow. This year, one of the main partners of the competition was the Russian Musical Union. Greetings to the contest were sent by the President of the Russian Federation, V.V. Putin, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, V.R. Medinsky, mayor of Moscow, S.S. Sobyanin.
On July 11, 2016, a meeting of representatives of the RMU with the delegation of the Chinese Association of Musicians was held in Moscow. RMU was represented by the Director General, A.B. Krichevsky and the Scientific Secretary of the Musicology and Education Guilds, Pavel Levadny. The vice chairman of the Association, Han Xin An, director of the People's Music Publishing House, Mo Yun Hui and rector of the Shanghai Conservatory, Xu Meng Dun arrived as part of the Chinese delegation to Moscow. Linguistic accompaniment of the meeting was carried out by the famous Russian-Chinese composer, the RMU member, Zuo Cheng Guan.
